Philosophy
The
School believes that good basic health plays an important part in the
preservation of political and national integrity. It also believes that
health maintenance is not just a medical responsibility. It is a
national concern. Furthermore, the school believes in the medical and
allied students carefully selected and properly trained can become
competent and responsible practitioners.
In
this light, the four-year curriculum of the school leading to the degree
of Doctor of Medicine has been geared towards developing primary care
physicians prepared to meet the health and medical needs of a constantly
changing society. It is designed to give students a more solid
foundation based on formal education on the basic science complemented
by actual clinical training.
Aims
and Objective
To
promote the general health needs of the community. To support, promote
and finance undergraduate and post graduate or advance scientific
studies. To conduct, support and promote basic and applied research in
medical science, and To participate and or involve in socio civic acts
which will help uplift the health conditions of the region.
